While web surveys can be used for just about any purpose these days, it is still valid to ask your users what they think of your website, as it might be the most trafficked and valuable marketing asset for your customers.  Here are four questions to ask you users about your website to ensure that you are covering all your bases.
  1. Is my site "pretty?" This may seem like a superficial question - and it is - yet it can be critical to getting and keeping customers on your site. Colors, logos, type faces, and text size can deter or attract users (which is also why market research is great!) so ensuring that your site is aesthetically pleasing is beneficial for your company.
  2. How is the layout of the site? Knowing if your customers can find what they need and easily navigate may seem trivial but it can be pivotal for accruing new leads. If a customer cannot find what they need, they will usually go somewhere else.  Make sure your site is easy to navigate.
  3. How valuable is the information on my site? If your site's content is not delivering value to customers or is not meeting an unmet need of your customers, then you may want to rethink the purpose of your site and tailor it to meet the needs of your main customers.
  4. How was the overall user experience? Knowing if your users are satisfied with their overall engagement on your site (look, navigation, content, etc.) is key to what they take away from the site about your brand. Their overall site experience is a subliminal message about your company's relationship with your customers. Make sure that you meet the needs of your customers from all perspectives.
